“The Fox and the Tomcats” is a musical project that follows the tradition of the troubadours!
Following their completely sold-out concert at In The Mood in 2025, “The Fox and the Tomcats” return on 17 October for not one, but two special encounters with the audience. Two concerts in one incredible evening, during which the trio’s original music, literature, theatre and unmistakable sense of humour will once again come to life up close on stage.
At the heart of the project are three distinct voices and different musical styles, telling the stories and adventures of literary characters from great novels such as Bulgakov’s “The Master and Margarita”, Homer’s “The Odyssey”, Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby”, Stephen King’s “Rage”, Orwell’s “1984” and others.
The songs are original compositions by Militsa Gladnishka, Nikolay Vodenicharov – Niketsa and Ivan Velchev.
Their first music video – for the song “Hello, Dead Man”, inspired by George Orwell’s novel “1984” – has already been viewed more than 180,000 times on the group’s YouTube channel. The romantic love song was nominated for an Ikar Award in 2019 and is part of Veselka Kuncheva’s production “The Last Man”.
In 2025, the group also presented the song with an official music video – “DEVIL SENT ME”, inspired by Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita”. In 2026, the “Songs Based on Great Novels” series continues its development with “A B C” – a composition based on Stephen King’s “Rage”, which draws attention to violence among young people and its consequences.
You will also hear songs from the musical production “Melophobia” – conceived by Militsa Gladnishka and Ivan Velchev, who created the music, lyrics and arrangements in partnership with Nikolay Vodenicharov – Niketsa and guitarist Miroslav Ivanov.
The programme also includes hit songs from the jazz era, each with a story worthy of a novel.
Niketsa will also present the power of rock through his original songs.
Three distinct voices!
Three different styles!

The concert takes the audience through a multitude of emotional states like a true hurricane, swirling together rock, pop, jazz, flamenco, country, Bulgarian popular music, reggae and many other musical worlds.
