Everyone has their favourite songs, and behind each one lies a cherished memory.
Tête-à-tête – Song Against Story is a musical and poetic evening in which we share songs and stories about friendship, love, hope, or simply those times we do not want to forget. Kiril Kalev and his friends invite the audience to an intimate, informal encounter in which music and stories move naturally towards one another.
The focus of this concert is The Tulsa Sound — the musical language born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where blues, rock ’n’ roll, country and pop meet with ease and character. Associated with artists such as J.J. Cale and Leon Russell, it carries a free groove, a clear melody and that unhurried sense that every song has its own time and place.
Kiril Kalev is a songwriter and performer with five original albums and a long-standing creative collaboration with pianist, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Mihail Shishkov.
Special guest Niki Dragnev joins Kiril Kalev & Friends on solo guitar, adding another vibrant voice to this encounter. Together, the musicians will explore new directions in Tulsa sound — between song, improvisation and the joy of playing with friends.
What is your song? What is your story?
Let’s share them in an emotional tête-à-tête through song.
